A call from an Ontario shelter revealed to a SRECC Volunteer that they had a very elderly Springer surrendered to them that could really use some  TLC in a real home... shelter living is so hard on animals, especially the seniors! So of course when  she went to meet him, it was love at first sight and she took him home as a SRECC foster dog to join her pack. It wasn't long before she was so in love with him, that she knew he wasn't going anywhere!  It didn't take long for him to fall into the routines of comfy life  with his new family and he learned to use the doggie door in no time flat! Who ever said "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" clearly  never tried!
